BY A STAFF REPORTER: German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius said in Kiev on Tuesday that Germany would give Ukraine another military aid package worth 1.3 billion euros ($1.42 billion), which would include four additional IRIS-T air defense units.

So far, Berlin has pledged to supply Kiev with eight IRIS-T systems, three of which have been delivered. Ukraine mainly uses it to protect against Russian missile attacks.

"This aid package will include 20,155 millimeters of artillery shells and anti-tank mines," Pistorius said while speaking to Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umrov. I'm sure it will help fight Russian aggression. This indicates that we are with Ukraine sustainably and reliably. "
