Terrible bus accident! Killed 10

BY A STAFF REPORTER: At least 10 people were killed and 11 taken to hospital after a bus carrying wedding guests skidded off the road in The Hunter Valley area of New South Wales on Sunday night.

In a statement, police said 10 people had died and 11 had been taken to hospitals by helicopter and road. According to sources, 18 passengers survived unharmed.

Police said emergency services were called to the scene shortly after 11:30 p.m. local time after receiving a report that a bus had skidded off. 

The driver of the bus has been taken to the hospital under police guard for mandatory examination and evaluation. The injured were taken to multiple hospitals in the Hunter Valley, including John Hunter Hospital in New Lambton Heights and Matter Hospital in the Waratahs.
