Attack on police station, multiple deaths

By a Staff Reporter: Miscreants attacked a police station in Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Pakistan. Ten policemen were killed in the attack. Six people were injured. Pakistan Police informed about this on Monday. The police informed that the terrorists attacked the police station with heavy weapons. The attack took place around 3 am in Daraban tehsil. The terrorists suddenly started attacking the police station with grenades and heavy weapons from all sides. The police retaliated but the terrorists escaped by taking advantage of the darkness. Police forces have now cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to trace the fleeing militants. Rapid response forces along with additional police force reached the spot. It should be noted that at least 93 terrorist attacks took place in Pakistan in January this year. Terrorist attacks have also increased. In which 90 people were killed and 135 people were injured. Additionally, 15 people were reported to have been abducted.
