BY A STAFF REPORTER: Ukraine's Interior Minister Ihor Klimenko said at least 21 people were killed and 28 injured when the Nova Kakhovka dam collapsed in the Kharsan region earlier this month.
"As many as 595 houses in Kherson area are still flooded. The death toll in the Kakhovka dam disaster has risen to 21 and 28 people have been injured. The pandemic situation in the region is stable and under control. But Klimenko warned residents against fishing and eating fish in the affected areas.
Russia and Ukraine are pointing fingers at who is responsible for the dam collapse. Ukrainians estimated the damage at 1.5 billion euros.
