New Delhi/Central Africa: As part of India’s growing diplomatic outreach across Africa, Indian delegates have reported positive engagement from African leaders and diplomats on the subject of Pakistan-based terrorism and India's recent counter-terror operations, including Operation Sindoor.

During the visit, BJP's Rajya Sabha MP and senior advocate Manan Kumar Mishra stated that discussions with African counterparts were deeply insightful and encouraging. “We are telling them why we had to conduct Operation Sindoor and about Pakistan's terrorism,” he said, reflecting on India’s efforts to build awareness and support on global platforms.

Mishra noted that the African leaders and diplomats were well-informed and actively engaged in the conversation. “They had come prepared on the subject matter. They were curious to know why our relations with Pakistan are deteriorating. They knew that Pakistan is a terrorist country but when we made things clear, they heard us well,” he explained.

He added that the response was optimistic. “Their response was good—they said they would raise this issue in the UN Security Council, the African Union, and even consider bringing a resolution in their National Assembly,” Mishra said.

Beyond the strategic dialogues, the Indian delegates also took the opportunity to engage with the local culture. “It is a good experience to know about the people of Africa, their culture, language. They are good people and this is a really good experience,” Mishra shared.
