At least 67 people killed in Hawaii wildfires

BY A STAFF REPORTER: The Maui County government announced Friday afternoon that 67 deaths have been confirmed so far from wildfires in Hawaii.

It officially made the Lahina Fire the deadliest natural disaster in Hawaii's history, surpassing the 61 confirmed deaths from a tsunami in Hilo in 1960.

"The Lahina fire is yet to be brought under control," the government said in a statement. '
