25 killed, over 40 injured as two separate blasts

BY A STAFF REPORTER: At least 25 people were killed and more than 40 injured in two separate bomb blasts targeting election candidates in Pakistan's Balochistan province on Wednesday, just a day before the Lok Sabha elections.

At least 15 people were killed and more than 30 injured in the first blast outside an independent candidate's office in Pishin in Balochistan. 

The blast took place outside the political office of independent candidate Asfand Yar Khan Kakar in Pishin's Khanozai area. Kakar is contesting from NA-265 constituency and Balochistan assembly seats PB-47 and PB-48.

The injured have been shifted to tehsil hospital in Khanozai and the bodies have also been shifted, sources said. Most of the injured are in critical condition.
