15 Indians aboard a hijacked ship near the Somalian Coast

BY A STAFF REPORTER: A Liberian-flagged ship 'MV LILA NORFOLK' was hijacked near the Somalian coast on Thursday evening.
According to the reports, the vessel is carrying 15 Indian members on board. The Indian Navy Ship Chennai, a Kolkata-class stealth guided missile destroyer, is currently sailing towards the spot to rescue the hijacked bulk carrier. Naval aircraft have also been deployed to vigilantly watch the hijacked vessel’s movements.
Communication has been established with the crew as the vessel sent a message on the UKMTO portal signaling the boarding of around five or six unknown armed personnel.
