BY A STAFF REPORTER: The FSDL has rescheduled the Indian Super League 2023-24 match between FC Goa and Hyderabad FC on September 22 this year. Sandesh Jhingan (FC Goa) and Chinglensana Singh (Hyderabad FC), two key players of the national team, were called up to perform their national duties at the Asian Games to be held in Hangzhou, China from September 19 to October 8, 2023. There are six teams in the men's competition. The top two teams from each group and the top four third place teams will advance to the last 16.

India tasted success twice at the Asian Games in 1951, winning gold in the inaugural edition in 1951 and repeating the feat in 1962. This time, India's all-time top scorer Sunil Chhetri will lead the team at the Hangzhou Games and expect a similar result achieved by the Blue Tigers 60 years ago.
