Independence Day: ‘Shilafalkam’ will be built in every village

Before the Independence Day, the 'Meri Mati, Mera Desh' campaign will be started in honor of the martyrs of the country. The campaign will be launched to honour the martyred heroes.

Before the Independence Day, the 'Meri Mati, Mera Desh' campaign will be started in honor of the martyrs of the country. The campaign will be launched to honour the martyred heroes. Events will be organised across the country in memory of those who sacrificed their lives for the country and special inscriptions will be installed in lakhs of gram panchayats. Under this campaign, Amrit Kalash Yatra will be organized across the country. The 'Amrit Kalash Yatra' will reach the national capital Delhi with 7,500 pitchers of soil from every village of the country. Plants from different parts of the country will also be brought in this journey. 'Amrit Vatika' will be constructed with soil and trees near the National War Memorial. Under the 'Meri Mati, Mera Desh' campaign, Amrit Udyan will be built in Delhi and a war memorial will be constructed in each village, which will be named 'Shilafalkam'. A tree garden will be set up in each village. The program will run from August 9 to 30.
