Non-violent movement
The movement was in the name of cancelling foreign clothes, introducing native clothes. Let the country become self-reliant in khadi clothing, for that purpose, the non-violent movement started under the leadership of Gandhiji. At that time many people joined this movement and died with proudly. But in the end, victory came to India. The native dress won their fight.
Gandhi on hunger strike
Mahatma Gandhi played a significant role in bringing freedom to the country. He showed that protest in a non-violent way. Among which was Gandhiji's hunger strike for 21 days. At that time no one could shake him from his hunger strike.
Simon Go Back
In 1927, a commission headed by Sir John Simon was set up to look into reforms in India. So that Indians feel humiliated. As a result, in 1928, the Indians declared the 'Go Back Simon' rebellion. At one point the intensity of the movement increased so much that Simon was forced to turn back.
Quit India Movement
On 8 August 1942, the country saw people take to the streets chanting a single slogan, 'Quit India'. The slogans did not stop even when the British baton-charged them.
Royal Indian Navy Mutiny
The last war of independence, the navy mutiny took place across the country in 1946. The Indian Navy rose up against the British rule.
