Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Congress President YS Sharmila Reddy has sharply criticized Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for allegedly failing to fulfill the promises he made during his election campaign. Speaking to the media, Sharmila accused the CM of betraying the trust of the people who brought him to power seven months ago.
“He promised free bus rides, three free LPG cylinders, 20 lakh jobs, and a monthly stipend of Rs 3,000 for unemployed youth. However, it has been seven months since he assumed office, and none of these promises have been fulfilled,” Sharmila said. She further accused Naidu of enjoying the perks of power while ignoring the welfare of the people of Andhra Pradesh.
Sharmila’s remarks come amidst growing criticism of Naidu’s administration for its perceived lack of progress on key electoral assurances. The Congress leader demanded that the Chief Minister address the concerns of the public and explain why his government has not delivered on its commitments.
“This is not what the people of Andhra Pradesh voted for. Chandrababu Naidu must answer the people of the state and take accountability for his inaction,” Sharmila added.
