Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath employed a poetic turn of phrase in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly to take aim at the Opposition benches. Speaking during the session, he remarked on what he described as the contrast between the actions of some political leaders in the past and their present-day positions.

Without naming specific parties or individuals, Adityanath alluded to leaders “who once set the fire” now speaking about “the arrival of spring,” and those “who looted settlements in the dark of night” now claiming to speak on behalf of the helpless. The comments drew attention in the House, reflecting his rhetorical approach in addressing political differences.
