Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to file a revision petition against the Supreme Court’s order mandating the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) for serving teachers of the state’s Basic Education Department.

According to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), Adityanath emphasized that the state’s teaching workforce has significant classroom experience and has been provided regular training under government initiatives. He stated that their professional qualifications and years of service should not be disregarded while determining their eligibility.

“The teachers of the state are experienced and they have been provided training by the government from time to time. In such a situation, it is not appropriate to ignore their qualifications and years of service,” the CMO said in a statement.
