VARANASI | Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, speaking at a public event during the foundation laying and inauguration of multiple development projects in Varanasi, lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, describing him as a global icon who has redefined India's image on the world stage.
The Chief Minister highlighted the symbolic significance of PM Modi’s visit to Kashi during the holy month of Sawan, linking it with India’s assertive response to terrorism through Operation Sindoor. “The arrival of PM Modi during Sawan holds immense significance. At a time when the world has recognized India’s strength with Operation Sindoor, we have shown that the new India has the capability to decimate terrorists, even by entering enemy territory,” Yogi Adityanath remarked.
He further emphasized PM Modi’s rising global stature, noting that over 48 countries have conferred their highest civilian honours on the Prime Minister in the past 11 years. “This reflects the world’s acknowledgment of his leadership and India’s growing influence. PM Modi has given us a clear vision for development and progress,” he added.
The Chief Minister also underlined PM Modi’s deep connection with Varanasi, recalling that he represents the ancient city in the Lok Sabha. “Kashi is fortunate to have a leader who is shaping India’s future while staying rooted in its cultural and spiritual heritage,” Yogi said.
