Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday described 2025 as a historic and transformative year for India while launching the Ekta Yatra in Kursi Assembly constituency. Speaking at the event, he underscored how the year brings together multiple milestones reflecting the country’s unity, heritage, and spiritual resurgence.

“This is not a mere coincidence; it is a year foretelling a new India,” the Chief Minister said. “We celebrated the 150th anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the symbol of India’s unity, and also marked 150 years since the composition of our national song, Vande Mataram.”

Adityanath noted that this year also commemorates the 150th birth anniversary of tribal leader Lord Birsa Munda, whose legacy, he said, gave India’s tribal communities a new identity and awakened national consciousness. He also highlighted the 75th anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar handing over the final draft of the Constitution to the Constituent Assembly on November 26, 1949.

Reflecting on the spiritual events of the year, the Chief Minister recalled the Maha Kumbh held in Prayagraj and announced the upcoming consecration of the grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya on November 25, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to attend.

Concluding his address, Adityanath expressed pride in inaugurating development projects worth ₹1,734 crore for Barabanki citizens, calling them a “gift of progress and unity” on Sardar Patel’s birth anniversary.
