Yogi Adityanath Expresses Grief Over Haridwar Accident, Announces ₹2 Lakh Aid

Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed deep sorrow over the tragic accident on the Shri Mansa Devi Temple road in Haridwar, which claimed the lives of several devotees. Calling the incident “extremely painful and heart-wrenching,” the CM extended his condolences to the bereaved families.

In an official statement shared via social media, Adityanath said, “The news of the tragic accident on the Shri Mansa Devi Temple road in Haridwar, resulting in the demise of devotees, is extremely painful and heart-wrenching. My condolences are with the grief-stricken families.”

The Chief Minister further informed that instructions had been issued to state officials to coordinate with the Uttarakhand government for smooth transportation of mortal remains of Uttar Pradesh residents who lost their lives in the mishap. “The mortal remains will be transported to their home districts and handed over to their families,” he stated.

Additionally, the UP government has announced an ex-gratia amount of ₹2 lakh for the family of each deceased victim from the state. The CM assured that the government stands with the families during this difficult time and all necessary assistance will be provided.
