New Delhi: On the 16th anniversary of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday asserted that India’s stance against terrorism has become firm, uncompromising and globally acknowledged. He said the Narendra Modi-led government’s zero-tolerance policy had not only strengthened internal security but had also prompted international cooperation in counter-terror operations.
Shah noted that nations across the world are increasingly recognising the scale and consistency of India’s efforts to combat terrorism. “The entire world is appreciating and providing broad support to India’s anti-terrorism campaigns,” he said, adding that global partnerships are now more aligned with India’s priorities than ever before. According to him, this shift in perception reflects both the diplomatic reach achieved in recent years and India’s successful attempts to isolate sponsors of terrorism at multilateral platforms.
The Home Minister also paid tribute to the victims and security personnel who lost their lives during the 2008 attacks, describing their courage as an enduring reminder of the nation’s resilience. He emphasised the importance of remaining vigilant and further strengthening intelligence frameworks to prevent any future threat.
