London, UK | During his official visit to the United Kingdom, Union Minister Piyush Goyal highlighted the growing global acceptance of Yoga and traditional medicine as vital components of preventive and holistic healthcare.
Speaking at an event in London, Goyal said, “The world today is recognising that traditional medicine has an important role to play in natural healing and also in preventive healthcare. Yoga is increasingly being recognised as very good for health and physical fitness.”
The minister’s remarks come in the lead-up to International Day of Yoga and reflect India’s sustained efforts to promote Yoga on the global stage. Goyal emphasized that practices like Yoga are not just part of India’s cultural heritage but also offer sustainable and effective solutions to modern health challenges.
India has been at the forefront of advocating for integrative health approaches that combine traditional wisdom with modern science. The growing interest in Yoga worldwide, including in Western countries like the UK, underscores its relevance beyond national borders.
