Delhi: Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced that the much-awaited Vande Bharat sleeper trains are ready for launch following successful testing.

Speaking at a press conference, Vaishnaw said the first rake of the sleeper variant has already been tested, while the second is expected to be manufactured and delivered by October 15. “The Vande (Bharat) sleepers have been tested and are ready. We are planning to launch two trains together. Since it’s a daily service, we are waiting for the second rake of the sleeper,” he explained.

The sleeper version of the Vande Bharat is designed to cater to long-distance passengers, combining the semi-high-speed performance of the existing trains with overnight travel convenience. Railway officials have stated that the new coaches will feature modern interiors, improved comfort, and advanced safety systems.
