New Delhi: In a sharp political attack during a public rally in Laxmi Nagar, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and its governance in Delhi. Speaking in support of BJP candidate Ajay Verma, Dhami held AAP responsible for Delhi’s severe pollution and the deteriorating condition of the Yamuna River.

“Since the last 11 years, AAP-da government is in power. Before that, Congress ruled for 15 years. Due to their combined mismanagement, Delhi has remained the most pollution-affected capital in the world,” Dhami asserted. He accused AAP of shifting blame to the Haryana government instead of taking accountability for Yamuna’s worsening state.

Referring to AAP’s repeated promises, Dhami mocked the party’s manifesto. “They are again saying they will clean the Yamuna in the next five years, just like they promised last time,” he remarked. Dhami also criticized the AAP government’s priorities during the COVID-19 crisis, alleging, “When Delhi was struggling with Covid, they were busy building ‘Sheeshmahal’ (luxurious offices).”

Taking a jibe at AAP ministers involved in corruption cases, Dhami said, “Their ministers went to jail for corruption, and after coming out, they behave like freedom fighters.”
