Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday virtually inaugurated new helicopter services connecting Pithoragarh to Munsiyari and Haldwani to Almora. The initiative aims to enhance connectivity in the state’s hilly regions and support tourism development.

Speaking at the launch, Dhami highlighted the natural beauty, cultural richness, and heritage of the regions connected by the new services. “The natural beauty, culture, environment, and heritage of these regions are major attractions for tourists, and the new services will significantly reduce travel time and improve connectivity,” he said.

Officials noted that the helicopter services are expected to make travel easier and faster for both tourists and locals, particularly in areas where road access is challenging due to mountainous terrain. The initiative is part of the state government’s broader strategy to promote tourism, improve regional accessibility, and support economic development.
