Khatima – Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday said the state has made significant strides in reducing unemployment and intensifying enforcement measures against various illegal activities. Speaking at a public event in Khatima, the CM claimed the state has emerged as a leader in providing employment opportunities to its youth.
“We have become a leading state in providing employment opportunities to the youth. We have successfully reduced the unemployment rate by 4.4% in one year, surpassing the national average,” Dhami stated, crediting government initiatives and targeted employment programs for the improvement.
In addition to economic measures, Dhami underscored his administration's crackdown on what he described as “land jihad, love jihad, thook jihad,” and illegal encroachment. “We have ensured strict action against land jihad, love jihad, thook jihad, and illegal encroachment in the state,” he said, referring to terms often used in political discourse related to alleged religiously motivated practices and land-related disputes.
