Kedarnath | Uttarakhand Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan visited Kedarnath to assess the ongoing preparations and infrastructure developments ahead of the upcoming Chardham Yatra. His inspection focused on ensuring the safety, accessibility, and convenience of pilgrims for the annual religious pilgrimage.
Bardhan began by reviewing the progress of reconstruction work in the Kedarnath area, instructing concerned officials to expedite the final stages to ensure that all facilities are in place for the influx of visitors. He also examined the newly completed Bailey Bridge built over the Mandakini and Saraswati rivers, a significant development aimed at improving connectivity in the region. "The work on this bridge has been completed, providing more convenience and ease to commuters," Bardhan confirmed, highlighting its importance for better transportation.
In addition, Bardhan inspected the rain shelters built along the Aastha Path, a crucial element for passenger comfort and safety. He suggested the installation of LED signage in these shelters to assist pilgrims. "For the convenience of the passengers, LED signage should be installed in these rain shelters so that passengers can easily find information about nearby toilets, medical assistance, and other essential facilities," he noted.
