In a major economic success story, Uttar Pradesh has more than doubled its economy under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Inheriting a ₹12.88 lakh crore economy in 2017, the state’s economic size has now surged to ₹27.51 lakh crore, with ambitions to cross ₹30 lakh crore within the current financial year.

Significantly, this growth has been achieved without the introduction of new taxes. Instead, the state government focused on curbing tax evasion, implementing digital systems to enhance transparency, and rooting out corruption. These reforms not only stabilized the economy but also shifted Uttar Pradesh from a budget deficit to a revenue surplus.

Over the past year, Uttar Pradesh recorded an impressive 11.6% growth rate, surpassing the national average. This consistent economic acceleration has made the state a preferred hub for investors, contributing strongly to India's broader economic development.
