NEW DELHI: Reacting to the tragic stampede at New Delhi Railway Station, Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) National President Upendra Kushwaha expressed grief over the incident while calling for a fair and thorough investigation before pointing fingers.
“Such incidents have happened many times where there is a crowd. It is sad. Such incidents should not happen. Definitely, care should be taken in the future,” Kushwaha stated. However, he cautioned against making premature accusations. “How can we say before the investigation who is at fault and who is not? Whenever any incident happens in railway premises, the railway department investigates it. After the investigation, it becomes clear who was responsible,” he added.
The stampede, which resulted in injuries and chaos at the station, has raised concerns over crowd management and railway infrastructure. The opposition has criticized the government for inadequate measures, while railway officials have assured a detailed inquiry into the matter.
