In a strong review of medical infrastructure and administrative accountability, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak on Thursday conducted a surprise inspection of Badaun Medical College along with local public representatives. The visit revealed shortcomings in cleanliness and availability of basic facilities, prompting immediate corrective orders from the state government.

Speaking to the media after the inspection, Pathak expressed dissatisfaction with the condition of the premises. He announced that the cleaning agency responsible for maintenance would not receive payment for the next month on grounds of substandard work. “The cleaning was not up to the mark, and therefore the payment will be withheld,” he stated, signalling a stricter stance towards accountability in medical institutions.

The Deputy Chief Minister further directed that all vacant posts in medical colleges across Uttar Pradesh be filled without delay. “All principals in the state have been instructed to fill all vacant posts. It is their responsibility to ensure quality work is done,” he said, emphasizing that negligence in essential services will not be tolerated.
