Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh: A devastating fire broke out at the Jhansi Medical College late last night, claiming the lives of several newborns. The incident is believed to have been triggered by a short circuit, leaving the local community in shock.
UP Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, while expressing his deep sorrow over the tragic loss, assured that strict action would be taken against those responsible for the incident. "An extremely unfortunate incident happened in Jhansi Medical College last night. As per the information, many newborns passed away in this fire break-out. The government has directed an investigation into the matter," Maurya stated.
Both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath have expressed their condolences for the loss of life. PM Modi conveyed his grief, while CM Yogi Adityanath shared his sadness over the tragic event.
Maurya emphasized that the government would take stern measures and ensure accountability. "Strict actions will be taken against whoever is found responsible for this incident," he added.
