Lucknow | Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak has hit out at the opposition over its criticism of the Waqf Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) report, asserting that all parties were part of the committee and their opinions were considered before the report was tabled in the Lok Sabha.

“The public has understood the negative narrative of the opposition. Members of all the parties were a part of the committee (JPC), and the report has been tabled by taking the opinion of all the members,” Pathak said, dismissing claims that dissenting views were ignored.

Targeting the Samajwadi Party (SP) in particular, Pathak warned that the party would face consequences for its stance on the issue. “The Samajwadi Party will have to pay for its negative narrative in the upcoming elections,” he asserted.
