Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday inaugurated transport services through 1.5 lakh Common Service Centres (CSCs) across the state, marking a step toward enhancing public accessibility and efficiency in the transport sector.
Speaking at the launch event, the Chief Minister said the initiative would make services more convenient for citizens while strengthening the state’s digital infrastructure. He emphasized the importance of improving the physical facilities of bus stations under the transport department to make them attractive, organized, and user-friendly.
“I think the state transport minister also wants that the bus stations of the transport department should be made beautiful and organised in the same way so that the general public can be attracted towards them. I congratulate the transport department, praise it and wish them all the best for this project,” Adityanath said.
The introduction of transport services through CSCs is expected to simplify access to booking, ticketing, and related services for people, particularly in rural and semi-urban areas. Officials noted that this move aligns with the broader digital governance framework being implemented in Uttar Pradesh, aimed at bringing government services closer to citizens.
