Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday chaired a high-level meeting at his official residence to review the proposed Uttar Pradesh Electronics Component Manufacturing Policy-2025. The policy, prepared by the state’s IT and Electronics Department, aims to establish Uttar Pradesh as a global hub for electronics manufacturing.
According to an official statement, the Chief Minister directed departments concerned to implement the policy in a time-bound manner, highlighting the rapid expansion of the electronics industry in India. He noted that the sector is currently the fastest-growing in the national economy and presents significant opportunities for investment and employment generation.
“India is today the world’s second-largest mobile manufacturer, and Uttar Pradesh accounts for nearly 60 percent of this production. The state should leverage this immense potential to become a global center for electronics manufacturing,” Adityanath said during the meeting.
Officials briefed the Chief Minister on the framework of the proposed policy, which is expected to provide incentives to investors, promote component manufacturing, and strengthen the state’s position in the electronics supply chain.
