New Delhi, March 10, 2025: Union Minister Nityanand Rai launched a scathing attack on RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, accusing him of spreading misinformation and calling the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) an "anti-poor family party."

Speaking in Delhi, Rai defended the BJP government’s stance on reservations, highlighting that Prime Minister Narendra Modi granted constitutional status to the OBC Commission, something previous governments, including those led by Lalu Prasad Yadav and the Congress, failed to do.

"Tejashwi Yadav is making false statements. When Lalu was in power with the Congress, there were demands to give the OBC Commission constitutional status, but it was never granted. PM Modi ensured this historic decision was made," Rai said.

He further reaffirmed BJP’s commitment to reservations for marginalized communities, stating that Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) have always been a priority in BJP policies.

With political tensions rising ahead of upcoming elections, Rai’s remarks signal BJP’s efforts to consolidate its OBC and Dalit voter base, countering opposition narratives on social justice and affirmative action.
