New Delhi: Union Minister Jayant Chaudhary has voiced strong support for the government's efforts to uphold constitutional values and expand voting rights in India. Speaking on the government's initiatives, Chaudhary emphasized that the leadership under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and other key figures is working diligently to ensure that the democratic framework of the country is further strengthened.
He explained that the government's push for a unified voting system—where votes for village, assembly, and parliamentary elections are coordinated—is part of a larger vision to streamline electoral processes. Chaudhary added that while votes for different levels of elections are currently separate, the ultimate goal is to ensure one unified vote system that enhances the integrity and efficiency of the country's electoral system.
“The votes for villages, assemblies, and MPs are separate, but the goal is to ensure one unified vote. Expanding voting rights will strengthen democracy,” Chaudhary remarked. His comments reflect the government's desire to make the electoral process more seamless, reducing the burden on voters while ensuring that every citizen has an equal say in the political process.
Chaudhary further noted that by aligning voting rights and improving the voting system, the government aims to create a more robust democracy, benefiting the entire society. The Union Minister's remarks reinforce the ongoing efforts to improve India's electoral system and promote greater participation in the democratic process.
