Mandya, Karnataka — Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy has sharply criticized the government’s handling of the recent stampede incident, describing it as chaotic and ineffective.

Speaking in Mandya, Kumaraswamy said, “The government is taking decisions every hour on the issue of the stampede. What will they do in the end? First, there was a judicial investigation. Now there is a CID investigation. Finally, they will get the investigation report. What is this government doing? If any decision is made, there should be clarity.”

He further lambasted the government’s approach, calling it “a complete failure” and accused officials of dragging unrelated incidents such as Pahalgam and Prayagraj into the discussion to deflect responsibility.

Kumaraswamy questioned the relevance of these past incidents, asking, “What is the connection between the Pahalgam incident and this?”
