Hyderabad, Telangana: Union Minister G Kishan Reddy has provided an update on the flood situation in Telangana, emphasizing the extensive damage in the Khammam and Mahabubabad areas. "There has been a significant loss, particularly in these regions due to the floods. Water has entered people's homes, causing widespread disruption," Reddy stated.
He added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have spoken with Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, assuring him of the necessary support and assistance from the central government. "Both PM Modi and Home Minister Shah have promised to provide all required help," Reddy mentioned.
The Union Minister also highlighted the efforts of BJP workers in providing relief materials to those affected by the floods. "Our party workers are actively involved in distributing relief supplies to flood-affected communities," he noted.
Reddy further explained that once the state government submits a detailed report on the damage, officials from the central government will arrive to assess the situation and coordinate further assistance. "After receiving the report from the state, central government officials will visit to ensure the necessary aid is provided," he concluded.
The situation in Telangana remains critical, with ongoing relief efforts aimed at mitigating the impact of the severe floods.
