Jaipur – With the Delhi assembly elections set for February 5, Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal has expressed confidence in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) securing victory, citing a disconnect between the promises made by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his subsequent actions.
Addressing the media, Meghwal highlighted what he called a growing disillusionment among the public regarding the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government's performance. "One thing that has become clear in Delhi is that there is a difference between what Kejriwal ji says and what he does," he remarked.
Drawing attention to the promises made during the Anna Hazare movement, Meghwal stated, "During the Anna Hazare movement, he had said that if he came to power, he would never use government cars, government security, or live in government-allotted accommodation. When there is a difference between what you say and what you do, then your popularity falls."
The Union Minister further underscored the BJP's preparedness to address the challenges in Delhi and restore public faith. "I am confident that BJP will form the government in Delhi this time," he asserted.
