Delhi: Congress leader Udit Raj on Friday took a sharp dig at the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), questioning its clarity over the Chief Ministerial face for the upcoming Bihar elections and likening Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to Maharashtra’s Eknath Shinde.
Speaking on the announcement of Tejashwi Yadav as the Mahagathbandhan’s Chief Ministerial candidate and Mukesh Sahani as the Deputy Chief Ministerial face, Raj said the opposition alliance has made its leadership stand clear while the NDA continues to dodge the question.
“When the NDA was repeatedly questioning whether Tejashwi Yadav would be the Chief Ministerial candidate, we demonstrated that. Now, they should show whether they will make Nitish Kumar the CM or not,” Raj said.
He went on to allege betrayal within the NDA ranks, stating, “They should give a straight answer, or will they make him Eknath Shinde? Nitish Kumar has become the Eknath Shinde of Bihar... Nitish Kumar has been betrayed.”
