With the Maharashtra Assembly elections on the horizon, Maharashtra Minister and Shiv Sena candidate from the Ratnagiri constituency, Uday Samant, expressed strong opinions on the political tactics of opposition parties. Speaking to reporters, Samant criticized the Congress and Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), alleging that they issue statements only after they learn of impending developments. He remarked, “Congress and Maha Vikas Aghadi, once they get to know what is going to happen tomorrow, give a letter for the same on that day only to take credit. To set a fake narrative has become a business for them.”
Samant also addressed his hopes for Shiv Sena’s leadership in the next government. “As a Shiv Sainik, I would want my leader Eknath Shinde to become the CM again,” he said. However, he noted that, ultimately, the decision will rest on the collective leadership of the alliance. “All three leaders—Eknath Shinde, Devendra Fadnavis, and Ajit Pawar—are mature. After the results, they will sit together under the leadership of PM Modi and Union HM Amit Shah to decide who will be the CM,” he added.
This statement highlights the political maneuvering within the state as parties gear up for a crucial election, with candidates keen to showcase unity within their ranks and hold the opposition accountable for perceived opportunism.
