Narayanpur, Chhattisgarh: In a concerning incident, two personnel of the Border Security Force (BSF) were injured when Naxalites detonated an improvised explosive device (IED) in Chhattisgarh’s Narayanpur district on Friday morning.

According to police officials, the blast occurred when a BSF road-opening party was conducting routine patrolling near their camp in Garpa village. The team was clearing the route to ensure safe passage when the Naxalites carried out the attack.

Both injured personnel were immediately provided first aid on-site and later evacuated to a nearby medical facility for further treatment. Their condition is reported to be stable, but they will remain under observation for the next few days.

A senior police officer commented on the incident, stating, "The IED was planted with the intention of targeting security forces in the area. Our teams are conducting a combing operation to trace the culprits responsible for this cowardly act."
