New Delhi: The Delhi Police on Saturday detained three individuals, including two doctors from Haryana’s Al Falah University, as part of its investigation into a suspected terror module linked to the recent car explosion near the Red Fort. Officials said the detained men were acquaintances of Dr Umar Nabi, the driver of the vehicle that blew up in the high-security zone earlier this week.
According to investigators, the two doctors had known Umar Nabi personally, prompting the police to verify their role, if any, in the wider network suspected of planning or facilitating the incident. The third detained person is also being questioned for possible links to the blast suspect and his activities prior to the explosion.
