Tribute Paid to Pahalgam Victims as Uttarakhand CM Dhami Highlights Ambedkar’s Vision at Rishikesh Event

Rishikesh: A solemn tribute was paid to the victims of the recent Pahalgam terror attack at a public gathering in Rishikesh, where Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami addressed BJP workers and citizens during an event held under the Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Samman Abhiyan. The event commenced with a prayer for the peace of the departed souls of the tourists killed in the attack.

Also present at the gathering was BJP National Vice President and Uttarakhand Co-Incharge, Mrs. Rekha Verma, who joined in honoring the legacy of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.

CM Dhami paid glowing tribute to Dr. Ambedkar, emphasizing his lifelong commitment to uplifting the marginalized and promoting social equality. “The entire life of Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar was dedicated to integrating the exploited, deprived, and neglected sections of society into the mainstream and promoting social harmony,” Dhami said.

Highlighting a major legislative step, the Chief Minister said, “Under the able leadership and guidance of the respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, our government has implemented the Uniform Civil Code, fulfilling Baba Saheb’s dream of social unity and harmony.” He hailed the move as a transformative milestone in the direction of equality and justice.
