Chennai, March 4: Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai has strongly criticized Chief Minister M.K. Stalin’s call for an all-party meeting, calling it "the funniest all-party meeting" as no one knows the agenda.
"Even when you go to a marriage, you know who is getting married. But in this case, the CM has called an all-party meeting based on an imaginary fear. He is not discussing any issue that affects the common man but is focusing on arbitrary matters," Annamalai said.
He dismissed concerns about parliamentary seat delimitation, stating that no central government representative has spoken about reducing Tamil Nadu’s seats. "Amit Shah Ji has clearly said it is a pro-rata basis, and our Prime Minister Narendra Modi has confirmed it is not based on population, unlike the Congress model," he added.
Annamalai also questioned the source of speculation about Tamil Nadu losing 12 seats and the total number rising to 848. "Who said 848 seats? Who said Tamil Nadu is losing 12? CM Stalin assumes these things and calls for an all-party meeting without an agenda. Why should we waste our time when the Home Minister has already clarified?" he asked.
