Chennai, Tamil Nadu: In a serious allegation that has sparked political uproar, Tamil Nadu BJP president Nainar Nagenthiran has accused the state administration of orchestrating a custodial killing, claiming that law and order in the state has collapsed and that the police force is being manipulated from behind the scenes.
Speaking to reporters, Nagenthiran said, “Law & order is not maintained well in the State. Police are not under the Chief Minister's control. It is being controlled by someone in the Secretariat.” He alleged that Ajith Kumar, a civilian, was “kidnapped, brutally attacked and murdered following the orders from someone in the Secretariat.”
In a sharp criticism of the police's conduct, Nagenthiran claimed that “without any FIR and investigation, Police kidnapped and murdered him. This has become normal in the state.”
