Kolkata: Amid the ongoing political battle in West Bengal, BJP state General Secretary Priyanka Tibrewal launched a sharp attack on the Trinamool Congress (TMC) over its demand that "outside voters" should not be allowed in the state.
Reacting to the TMC delegation’s appeal to the Election Commission (EC), Tibrewal claimed that the ruling party is "nervous" following the AAP’s defeat in Delhi. She dismissed TMC’s concerns, stating, “The Election Commission has already debunked the statements made by the TMC… But they are trying to create chaos.”
Accusing TMC of voter fraud, she alleged that the party has been issuing voter cards and documents to Bangladeshi Rohingyas, particularly targeting a specific community for political gains. "I am not talking about Hindus coming from Bangladesh. I am specifically talking about the minority community coming from Bangladesh. They are issued voter cards and made to vote for TMC," she claimed.
Tibrewal further stated that TMC is panicking as Hindu voters are uniting behind BJP, following the AAP’s electoral loss in Delhi. "They are horrified and scared because they believe Hindus will now vote for BJP," she asserted.
