Kolkata, West Bengal — As West Bengal prepares to table a resolution in the State Assembly on Operation Sindoor, senior Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Kunal Ghosh reiterated the party's firm stance on national unity and support for the armed forces.

“Mamata Banerjee has made a clear statement and the stand of our party is very clear,” Ghosh said on Friday. “In the post-Pahalgam and Operation Sindoor scenario, TMC will not do any politics on it. This is a matter of the nation.”

The remarks come amidst rising political tensions following the anti-terror operation in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam region. Ghosh emphasized that the resolution, which is set to be brought before the Assembly, will unequivocally support India’s soldiers and condemn anti-national terrorist forces.

“We stand with the jawans, with the country, we will pay tribute together,” he said. “This is the time when everyone should be united and not do any politics over whatever stand is being taken by the Central Government.”

He stressed that the TMC’s position is rooted in national interest, not partisanship. “This is TMC,” Ghosh declared, underlining that the party’s resolution would reinforce solidarity and patriotism rather than political rivalry.
