New Delhi: Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Kalyan Banerjee has strongly condemned the BJP-led government over the recent suspension of opposition MPs from the parliamentary panel reviewing the Waqf Bill. Banerjee accused the ruling party of undermining democratic processes in the country.

“They (BJP) do not want any democracy in the country, and the entire show will be run by two persons,” Banerjee stated, referencing Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah as the central figures in the government’s decision-making process.

The suspension of opposition members from the parliamentary panel on the Waqf Bill has sparked a heated debate, with the opposition accusing the BJP of stifling dissent and sidelining opposition voices in key legislative matters.
