Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday called upon the people of Jammu and Kashmir to actively support security forces in identifying individuals or groups aiding terrorism, describing terrorism as the “biggest threat to peace and development.”

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the Islamic University of Science and Technology’s Innovation Campus at Awantipora, Sinha expressed his condolences to the families of those killed in the recent terror attack near Delhi’s Red Fort. “I express my condolences to the innocent civilians who lost their lives in the terror attack near Red Fort in Delhi, and I offer my sympathies to their families,” he said.

Emphasizing the destructive nature of terrorism, the Lieutenant Governor stated, “It is true that terrorism is the greatest threat to peace and development. It not only spreads hatred and violence among people but also destroys communal harmony and social unity. Terrorism has ruined the lives of thousands of young people in Jammu, Kashmir, and other regions.”

Sinha urged citizens to stand united against forces that seek to destabilize society. “Recognising this harsh reality and informing those who care is a responsibility of society and the people,” he said.
