PATNA, BIHAR — Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday said the people of Bihar have already made up their minds in favour of the NDA, claiming that the opposition’s recent actions reflect desperation and panic.
Addressing a press interaction in Patna on the final day of campaigning for the first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections 2025, Chouhan targeted RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav for his last-minute welfare announcements. “The public has already made its decision. The proof of this is that today, on the last day of the first phase of election campaigning, Tejashwi is panicking and saying that we will deposit so much money into women's accounts,” Chouhan said.
“This clearly shows that they are badly troubled and panicked. They too have accepted that the NDA is returning with a massive majority,” he added.
Drawing a sharp contrast between the RJD’s past rule and the current NDA administration, Chouhan said, “When there was Lalu Raj, there was fear; today, there is trust. Back then, it was the reign of crime; today, Bihar is a prime state.”
