Tejashwi Yadav Says No Confusion in Mahagathbandhan Over CM Candidate

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav asserted that the Mahagathbandhan will announce its chief ministerial face at the right time, adding that Bihar’s people seek change.

Patna: Bihar Assembly Leader of Opposition and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav on Monday dismissed speculation about differences within the Mahagathbandhan alliance over its chief ministerial candidate.

Speaking to reporters, Yadav stressed that the alliance was united and that the decision on the chief minister’s face would be made collectively at the appropriate time. “There is no confusion in our alliance. The people are the owners of Bihar and they make the Chief Minister. This time, they want a change,” he said.

Yadav further claimed that public sentiment across Bihar was in favor of a new leadership. “Go and ask any person in Bihar whom they want to see (as Chief Minister), the answer will be received... but there is no confusion regarding the Chief Minister’s face in our alliance, and it will be announced when the time comes,” he added.
