Patna: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav on Wednesday responded to allegations that abusive language was directed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the party’s ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra.’ He asserted that such behavior does not reflect his party’s values and distanced himself from the claims.
“It is not in our culture to disrespect anyone’s mother,” Yadav said, rejecting the accusation. However, he pointed to past instances where political leaders, including those from the ruling party, had made controversial remarks. “But the question must be asked, who did the Prime Minister call a ‘Jersey cow’? Who made ‘DNA’ remarks against Nitish Kumar?” he asked.
The comments come amid heightened political sparring in Bihar, where the ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ has drawn sharp reactions from rival parties. BJP leaders had earlier alleged that offensive slogans were raised against the Prime Minister during the march.
